AgriBank Announces 2019 Board of Directors


ST. PAUL, Minn., March 6, 2019—AgriBank today announced the results of elections for four positions on its 18-member board of directors as well as the election of its chair and vice chair. The elections took place this week at the AgriBank 2019 Annual Meeting in Tampa, Florida.

CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR

KERI VOTRUBA (CHAIR)

Keri Votruba, of Hemingford, Neb., owns and operates a family farming operation consisting of wheat, corn, alfalfa, peas, sunflowers, cow/calf and a background lot. He has served on the AgriBank board since 2004 and is a past director of Farm Credit Services of America. He is also a director of the Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (Farmer Mac).

STAN CLAUSSEN (VICE CHAIR)
Stan Claussen, of Montevideo, Minn., co-owns and operates a family farm consisting of corn, soybeans, sugar beets, canning peas and sweetcorn. He has served on the AgriBank board since 2016 and previously served on the board of United FCS, now part of AgCountry Farm Credit Services.

DIRECTORS

JOHN SCHMITT
John Schmitt, of Quincy, Ill., operates a family grain farm raising corn, soybeans and forages. He also has a cattle operation where he purchases, backgrounds and finishes feeder cattle. Schmitt has served on the AgriBank board since 2007 and previously served as a board member and chair of 1st Farm Credit Services, now part of Compeer Financial.

ROLLIN TONNESON
Rollin Tonneson of Souris, N.D., raises spring wheat, canola and soybeans. He is a board member and past chair of Farm Credit Services of North Dakota.

NICK VANDE WEERD
Nick Vande Weerd, of Brookings, S.D., has dairy and crop farming operations. He has served on the AgriBank board since 2015 and previously served on the board of Farm Credit Services of America.

MATT WALTHER
Matt Walther, of Centerville, Ind., raises corn, soybeans and beef cattle. He has served on the AgriBank board since 2011, including the past three years as chair. Walther also serves as a director of the Federal Farm Credit Banks Funding Corporation and is a past board member and chair of Farm Credit Mid-America.
