AgriBank Announces 2023-2024 Board of Directors


ST. PAUL, Minn., March 10, 2023—AgriBank today announced election results for three positions on its board of directors as well as the election of its chair and vice chair. The elections took place this week during the AgriBank 2023 Annual Meeting. Elected directors serve four-year terms, and the board elects officers each year.

Newly Elected Chair and Vice Chair

STAN CLAUSSEN (CHAIR)
Stan Claussen, of Montevideo, Minn., raises corn, corn silage, sugar beets, canning crops, and soybeans, as well as installs drainage tile and land improvement projects. Claussen has served on the AgriBank board since 2016 and served as vice chair from 2021 to 2023. He previously served on the board of United FCS, which has since merged with AgCountry Farm Credit Services.

CHRIS ROBERTS (VICE CHAIR)
​Chris Roberts of Olive Branch, Miss., farms rice, corn and soybeans. Roberts has served on the AgriBank board since 2022 and previously served on the board of Farm Credit Midsouth.

Newly Elected Directors

ROLLIN TONNESON
Rollin Tonneson, of Souris, N.D., raises spring wheat, canola and soybeans. Tonneson has served on the AgriBank board since 2019. He previously served on the board of Farm Credit Services of North Dakota, which has since merged with AgCountry Farm Credit Services.

MATT WALTHER
Matt Walther, of Centerville, Ind., raises corn, soybeans and beef cattle. Walther joined the AgriBank board in 2011 and served as chair from 2016-2019. He previously served on the Farm Credit Mid-America board.

NICK VANDE WEERD
Nick Vande Weerd, of Brookings, S.D., has dairy and livestock operations and grows corn, soybeans and alfalfa. Vande Weerd has served on the AgriBank board since 2015 and served as chair from 2021 to 2023. He previously served on the board of Farm Credit Services of America.
