ST. PAUL, Minn., June 3, 2025 — Farm Credit organizations in western North Dakota today announced 14 grants totaling $447,074 to worthy programs that will improve lives in local communities through the Rural Community Grant Fund.
The fund was established as a partnership between AgCountry Farm Credit Services and Farm Credit Services of Mandan – the two largest providers of agricultural loans in western North Dakota – and AgriBank, their St. Paul, Minn.-based funding bank, to help communities impacted by mineral development.
Grants support critical community needs such as health, safety, and emergency services.
The latest grants include:
- $50,000 to Minot Vocational Adjustment Workshop DBA Kalix for residential facility renovations
- $40,000 to Home On The Range for educational building addition
- $40,000 to Golva Rural Fire Protection District for firefighting gear
- $40,000 to Heartview Foundation for a clinic renovation and expansion
- $40,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Bismarck for home away from home lodging support
- $35,000 to Williston State College Foundation for clinical education and nursing software
- $35,000 to Mercy Medical Center DBA CHI Alexius Health Williston for infant security system
- $30,000 to North Dakota Domestic and Sexual Violence Coalition for a training and outreach vehicle
- $30,000 to Divide County for automated external defibrillators
- $30,000 to Portal International Fire Department for a rescue truck
- $30,000 to Souris Rural Fire Protection District for firefighting gear
- $25,000 ABLE, Inc. for facility upgrades
- $12,074 to Minot Rural Fire Protection District for firefighting equipment
- $10,000 to 31:8 Project for trauma kits for kids
The Rural Community Grant Fund is accepting applications for programs that meet the needs of local communities impacted by expanded mineral exploration and production in western North Dakota.
