ST. PAUL, Minn., May 28, 2026 — Farm Credit organizations in western North Dakota today announced 14 grants totaling $383,000 to worthy programs that will improve lives in local communities through the Rural Community Grant Fund.
The fund was established as a partnership between AgCountry Farm Credit Services and Farm Credit Services of Mandan – the two largest providers of agricultural loans in western North Dakota – and AgriBank, their St. Paul, Minn.-based funding bank, to help communities impacted by mineral development.
Grants support critical community needs such as health, safety, and emergency services.
The latest grants include:
- $50,000 to Connect Medical Clinic for medical equipment and training
- $50,000 to Columbus Rural Fire Protection District for a brush truck
- $50,000 to Mohall Ambulance Service for an ambulance upgrade
- $40,000 to Jacobson Memorial Hospital Care Center for equipment upgrade
- $38,100 to Simulation in Motion North Dakota (SIM-ND) for medical equipment
- $25,000 to Divide County Sheriff’s Department for a police vehicle
- $25,000 to Trinity Health Foundation for a facility expansion
- $25,000 to Minot Vocational Adjustment Workshop, DBA Kalix for a facility upgrade
- $18,700 to Minot Rural Fire Protection District for firefighter equipment
- $18,200 to St. Luke’s Hospital for a facility upgrade
- $15,000 to Bowman County Housing Authority for appliance replacement
- $15,000 to Welcome House Inc. for family shelter improvements
- $10,000 to City of Donnybrook for a roof replacement
- $3,000 to Dickinson Dorcas Society for family meal assistance
The Rural Community Grant Fund is accepting applications for programs that meet the needs of local communities impacted by expanded mineral exploration and production in western North Dakota.
