ST.PAUL, Minn., October 24, 2019 – Keri Votruba, chair of the AgriBank Board of Directors, died unexpectedly on October 22.

Votruba, a rancher and crop farmer from Hemingford, Neb., joined the AgriBank board in 2004 and was elected as chair for the second time in 2019. He also had been serving as a director of the Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (Farmer Mac). A long-term Farm Credit member, he previously served on the boards of the Region 801 Production Credit Association and Farm Credit Services of America.

“We are grateful for Keri’s many years of service to AgriBank and Farm Credit,” said AgriBank Vice Chair Stan Claussen. “No Farm Credit leader has been more dedicated to our mission of supporting rural communities and agriculture.”

Until the AgriBank board reorganizes its leadership, Claussen will fulfill the duties of the chair. AgriBank operations will continue uninterrupted through the leadership transition.
